TELEC certification is a mandatory certification for wireless equipment in Japan, managed by the Japan Radio Equipment Compliance Certification Center (MIC).

Certification is conducted in accordance with Japan's Radio Law to ensure that the equipment meets the requirements in terms of technical indicators such as radio frequency usage, transmission power, and frequency tolerance.

All devices using wireless technology sold in the Japanese market must be certified by TELEC, otherwise it is illegal.
